OVERVIEW

Corruption is the main problem which hindered development and progress in Lebanon. Transparency, accountability and citizen participation have always been considered as an essential components to achieve good governance and political reform. These issues became a key concern to all Lebanese in particular after October 17, 2019. Join us for a highly pertinent seminar titled: Corruption, Bankruptcy and State Collapse: Can Lebanon Still Be Saved?” by TAHALOF webinar series with Hala Bejjani, Managing Director of Kulluna Irada, a civic organization for political reform and good governance, to understand more about Lebanon’s bankruptcy, the government reform plan, the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) outline and implications in addition to setting the foundation for a new political-economic-social model.

HALA BEJJANI

Hala Bejjani is the Managing Director of Kulluna Irada, a civic organization for political reform and good governance in Lebanon, through focusing on transparency, accountability and citizen participation. Bejjani has a long and impressive managerial background, be it as a top executive in Media (co-founder and GM of al-akhbar and Planet News Business) Insurance (Marketing Manager of Bankers Assurance) or as  business consultant (Arthur Andersen Business Consulting), as well as a consultant for the non-profit sector (Mouvement Social). Hala Bejjani holds an M.B.A in Business, Marketing & Finance from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Université Paris Dauphine.

Bejjani is currently full time based in Beirut as a GM for Kulluna Irada.
